In this lesson, students will get a hands-on experience with pill bugs. The students will answer their questions about pill bugs by listening to a book about pill bugs, performing experiments with pill bugs, and making their own pill bug while recording the information they have learned. Also, this lesson is filled with formative assessments and academic vocabulary.
This activity in a bag is a great activity to do with a partner or independently. The activity requires the students to sort animals into the categories of herbivores, carnivores, or omnivores by seating them to dinner and recording the different diner seating charts. The students will also have to serve the animals the food they eat. In the bag, there are three different diner layouts and many different animal and food cards.
