Narrative Lesson Plan
In this lesson, students will use the ipad application Story Lines to learn about and create narratives.

Flipped Classroom
A flipped classroom is a great strategy where the students learn the information about a topic at home, and then do the homework at school the next day. A flipped classroom is comprised of a way for students to receive the information about the topic, a video, podcast, or information to read, a review session the next day, a quiz, and an in-class activity that deepens the learning and understanding of the topic.

Reading Toolbox
A reading toolbox includes a book, an activity for the students to participate in while the teacher is reading the book, and an activity for the students to do after reading the book. This reading toolbox is based on the book The Mitten by Jan Brett. While the teacher is reading the book, the students will wear animal masks, for the different characters, and crawl under a sheet cut like a mitten when their character is mentioned in the book. After the teacher reads the book, the students will complete a story map and a writing activity where they will get to add a character to the story.
